Software Engineer - Advanced

In this position as an Advanced Software Engineer you will design, document, implement, test, support, and sustain engineering on major software modules for engineer-to-order product line.  You will focus on providing on-time delivery of high quality, robust functionality to meet or exceed customer and market expectations. You must be highly self-motivated with excellent business and technical judgment that enables delivery of appropriate results given only general direction and able to make significant contributions as an individual, a team member, and technical leader depending on the project.  Able to handle multiple high priorities concurrently and work with a geographically-dispersed team. Driven to continuously improve the product line through innovation and introduction of appropriate new technologies, up to and including redesign of substantial portions of the product. Able to independently grasp new technologies. Continuously demonstrate a relentless focus on understanding the voice-of-the-customer, ability to turn that understanding into appropriate action plan, and willingness to do whatever it takes to execute that plan and deliver timely results. Job skills for back-end (server-side) focused individual:

        Microsoft SQL Server, including writing T-SQL and tuning stored procedures (required)

        OO and RDBMS design (required)

        Expertise in client-server or multi-tier or SOA application architecture (required)

        Database performance tuning (preferred)

        Visual Basic.NET (preferred) Job skills for front-end (client-side) focused individuals:  

        Visual Basic.NET or Visual C#.NET  (required)

        Expertise in client-server or multi-tier or SOA application architecture (required)

        Object oriented design/modeling (required)

        UI design (preferred)
