Description

An excellent opportunity exists for a collaborative, visionary nurse educator to serve as the Program Director for the Registered Nursing Program at the Apollo College. 

 

  • On-going development and management of all aspects of the program.
  • Academic planning and program evaluation.
  • Curriculum management.
  • Preparation for site visits from accrediting agencies.
  • Preparation of reports and self-studies for the institutional accrediting agency.
  • Faculty recruitment, development, evaluation, and mentoring.
  • Clinical site development.
  • Strong working relationships with federal, state and local constituencies, accrediting bodies, nursing boards, clinical site personnel, students, and alumni. 

 

  • A Master's Degree or higher degree from an accredited college or university which includes coursework in nursing, education or administration.
  • A minimum of one year experience in an administrative position.
  • A minimum of two years experience teaching in pre- or post-licensure nursing programs.
  • At least one year experience as a Registered Nurse providing direct patient care; or equivalent experience and/or education, as determined by the board.
  • Currently licensed RN or eligible for RN.
  • Strong verbal and writing skills and computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
