Description The Account Manager will be responsible for developing
business in the Northeast with major commercial insurance companies,
claims management services providers and self-insured entities.
These target accounts, as assigned, are expected to provide large
event-based sales opportunities. Conduct frequent in-person and
telephone sales calls with target client to solicit business.
Develop and manage relationships with target clients to encourage
their business. Develop and implement written account plans to
achieve both tactical and strategic objectives. Market the companies
features and benefits to all levels of the client organization
(especially the various claims adjuster levels) to increase account
penetration, answer questions, build training and implementation
strategies and handle client challenges or objections. Jointly
develop creative solutions to complex client sales opportunities.

Account Manager / Sales related terms: sales, marketing, marine, broker
Requirements 5+ years experience in business development and/or
sales. Proven experience in selling and generating business at
multiple client levels, from field to management to executive.
Proven success in acquiring new accounts and expanding existing
accounts. Demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships with
all levels of client organizations from executive to field level.
Experience in (or strong familiarity with) the insurance or claims
management industry. Creative problem solving skills. Excellent
oral and written communication skills, including computer and
internet skills. Willingness to travel. Personal qualities required
include: professionalism, perseverance, integrity, creativity,
self-confidence and ability to work in a team environment.
