Description
Basic Purpose:
Perform daily phlebotomy activities of the Patient Service Center. Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· perform specimen collections for all ages from pediatric to geriatric patients.
· Greet all customers and treat customers appropriately.
· Ensure all field phlebotomy and specimens are collected accurately and timely.
· Collect specimens according to established procedures
· Responsible for completing requisitions accurately
· Label, centrifuge, split and freeze specimens as required by the test order
· Perform basic clerical/reception duties as needed.

Work Experience:
· Minimum of 1 year industry experience
· Experience specimen collections with all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics
Education:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· State of California Certification mandatory
· Medical terminology helpful
Special Requirements:
· Must be willing to work flexible hours based on staffing needs- weekends, holidays, on call and overtime.
