Originating in New York, we have been a leader in the NYC/L.I. area since our inception. As a NASDAQ publicly traded company, we are financially strong and have survived 11 recessions and 1 Great Depression. Our well-built economic structure has allowed us to prosper and we are currently searching for the right salesperson to head up our New York City/L.I. sales efforts. This is a tremendous opportunity for an elite salesperson to take on a rich territory that already has a substantial customer base.
As the NYC/L.I. salesperson, you are directly responsible for your territory’s sales growth. Daily duties will include cold calling, lead development and business planning. The appropriate candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and will report directly to the Regional Sales Director.
Superior Uniform Group manufactures and markets uniforms and image apparel that outfits the employees of companies in our 7 focal markets. For almost 90 years our uniform programs have helped businesses achieve a professional appearance, communicate their brand and increase employee morale. Our uniform and image apparel solutions help companies both large and small enhance their brand identity. Superior uniforms are worn around the globe.
The NYC/L.I. sales position will have a strong sales emphasis on both the Healthcare (predominantly hospitals) and Hospitality (lodging/hotel) markets. Additionally, you will target distributors, restaurant and food service chains, manufacturing/ service industries and large national retail uniform employee programs.

Requirements
· Strong lead development skills
· Excellence in telephone cold calling
· The necessary skills to follow and develop structured business plans
· Ability to upsell existing accounts
· Capacity to work from a virtual office under the Regional Sales Director’s guidance
· First-rate meeting communication skills
· A successful track record selling in a consultative environment
Skills/Qualifications:
· 5+ years direct territory sales experience
· BS degree
· PC functionality
· Ability to use a CRM system
