THIS POSITION WILL BE BASED OUT OF FORT BELVOIR, VA. INTERESTED CANDIDATES MUST BE WILLING TO COMMUTE TO THIS LOCATION DAILY.

Job Summary

Functional Responsibilities:

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for Tier II administration, configuration, and maintenance of various technologies managed by the Information Technology department. This candidate will focus on the administration of the systems infrastructure to include desktop PC’s, servers, and software applications.

 

This candidate must be willing to travel up to 25% annually in support of customer operations. All travel is CONUS.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum government clearance level of a TS/SCI which is active. This is a requirement as governed by the DoD
  • A minimum of an Associate's degree is highly preferred but equivalent experience will be accepted
  • 3 years of system administration experience within a Windows environment with specific expertise in Windows Server 2000/2003/XP/2008
  • Proven experience providing systems administration within an Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange enterprise environment

 

Additional Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to function independently as well as work with a team in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities
  • Advanced knowledge and troubleshooting of desktop operating systems and applications
  • Administrator of DNS and DHCP
  • Desktop baseline experience
  • Provides emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Must possess an active TS/SCI government clearance.
  • MCSE / Security + certifications preferred but not required
