Supervisor Surgical Services - Women's & Children's Hospital

MU Health Care has an opportunity for an experienced OR Nurse in the Surgical Services department at its new Women’s and Children’s Hospital.  Selected candidate will assist the Manager with the daily functions of a Department consisting of Outpatient Surgery, Operating Room and Recovery. Coordinate the surgical case order with Surgeons and Anesthesia personnel. Oversee the scheduling/availability of instrumentation, equipment and supplies for surgical cases. Supervise staff assignments. Assist with data collection and interpretation to improve productivity of the department. Promote positive customer service. Collaborate with other departments in providing optimal patient outcomes.

Women’s and Children’s Hospital, currently known as Columbia Regional Hospital, is scheduled to be fully operational in summer 2010 with the addition of Pediatric, Adolescent and Pediatric Intensive Care units to our existing NICU and  Family Birth Center to become mid Missouri’s only Women’s and Children’s Hospital.  Our Surgical Services department consists of a 12-bed OR, PACU and Outpatient Surgery.
