Admissions Representative

Utah Career College has an immediate opening for an Admissions Representative at its Orem, Utah campus.

As an Admissions Representative you will be responsible for enrolling and starting new students for UCC. You will be making public relations contacts (in person and by telephone) in support of the Mission and Goals of the College. Our employees demonstrate caring attitudes toward prospective and enrolled students, and do everything possible to assist students in attaining their education goals.
    

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Primarily responsible to recruit and qualify prospective students to attend the college through phone contacting and face-to-face interviews.
• Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly admissions goals as established by Director of Admissions (DOA).
• Motivate prospective students to set and achieve educational goals.
• Actively generate personally developed leads with current prospects, community opportunities and active student population.
• Satisfactory completion of Representative Training (4 wks) and probationary period (90 days).
• Be familiar with the objectives, requirements and content of all programs offered by Utah Career College in order to make a complete and factual presentation to prospective students and other interested parties.
• Follow up all student inquiries promptly.
• Ensure that all prospective students complete all required forms for enrollment, testing requirements and collect the application fee.
• Expected to make minimum number of prospecting calls each day. Representatives will also be required to make additional follow-up calls as needed.
• Assist future students through the financial aid process with the guidance of a financial aid representative.
• Responsible for assisting future students through the scheduling process with guidance from the education department.
• Ensure all prospective students attend Orientation and begin school through consistent follow-up activities.
• Participate in all campus functions such as, but not limited to: Orientation, Open Houses, Graduations, Sales Meetings, etc.
• Understand and conform to the colleges philosophy of truly caring about students and providing excellent service to prospective and enrolled students.
• Some evenings (usually 8pm) and rotating Saturdays required.

Education/Work Experience Requirements:

• Enjoy helping others with career planning.
• Have successful sales experience, strong selling skills, and a desire to succeed.
• Exceptional organizational skills, assertiveness, and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Posses excellent listening and customer service skills.
• Willing to work some evenings and Saturdays.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred and industry experience is a plus.
