Description

Position Scope: The Customer Service Representative's primary duties are to register orders in the AS 400 based system and track those orders through final delivery while constantly keeping customers updated as to status. This position services internal and external customers by quoting, scheduling and tracking shipments on a daily basis to ensure on time performance and 100% customer satisfaction.
Position Responsibilities:
- Must Constantly prioritize and organize shipment info and relay back to customer.
- Must track a multitude of orders simutaneously keeping up to date with status on each.
- Answers inbound phone calls to quote costs to customers or sales reps.
- Determines best method of shipment for customer satisfaction and company profitability.
- Inputs orders into order registration screens.
- Tracks and/or traces the orders on a daily basis to ensure on time delivery.
- Resolves issues that arise during the transportation of freight.
- Work with agents, drivers, sales reps, 3rd party carriers to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Constantly communicate with the customer.
- Once delivered, final out shipment in order registration.
- Must be able to spend a good amount of time on the phone and on the computer utilizing a variety of programs.
- Complete paperwork and forward to billing registration.
- Complete paperwork and forward to billing department.
- Assist in collections when required.
Requirements
Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus!
Qualifications: High School Diploma. 2 years experience in a Customer Service role. Excellent organization, communication and customer service skills. Ability to multi-task. Ability to develop team relationships with co-workers, drivers, sales reps, and external customers. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Please highlight all prior experience in Transportation / Freight Forwarding.
