Description
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support and contribute in engineering efforts in the design, development, and simulation and testing of new and existing Automotive grade High Performance Cable Assembly products.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
1. Electrical testing of automotive high speed cable assemblies, connectors, and components. Testing will utilize but is not limited to sampling oscilloscopes, real-time digital oscilloscopes, pulse/pattern generations, TDR sampling heads, bit error rate testers, and network analyzers.
2. Experience performing radiated and conducted EMI / EMC emissions and immunity testing to the applicable specifications. Keen awareness of EMI / EMC potential product weakness and the ability to provide design guidance and recommendations for improvements.
3. Support or develop laboratory circuit boards and fixtures to support electrical, EMI, and EMC testing of automotive high speed cable assemblies.
4. Development of test procedures for products and production requirements
5. Collaborate on the development of automotive high speed cable assemblies with mechanical, manufacturing, quality, manufacturing, sales, and marketing.
6. Support mechanical engineering in the development and implementation of production work instructions for new and ongoing products.
7. Debug and improve new and established manufacturing processes and procedures with proper interfacing with electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality, manufacturing, and marketing. .
8. Understand, support, and contribute to the company's TQM and Quality / Environmental Management Systems by following approved policies and procedures
9. Other duties as required
Requirements
EDUCATION
· Required: B.S./M.S. Electrical Engineering
WORK RELATED EXPERIENCE:
· Required: 3-5 Years of job experience
SKILLS
· Required: Working knowledge of transmission line theory
Working knowledge of electrical test equipment
Working knowledge of PCB layout for multi-gigabit high speed circuitry
