Pharmacy Warehouse Technician - Louisville

Medallion Staffing has an immediate need for a Pharmacy Warehouse Technician our East Louisville client in the healthcare services and pharmaceutical industry.  This position is a long term temporary position in a climate-controlled warehouse environment that pays $10 per hour.  

DUTIES:

• Under supervision of a Pharmacist, fills prescriptions as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Types prescription information to produce labels, and matches labels to packages.
• Labels products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels.
• Prepares medications and shipments for dispensing and for delivery to long term care facilities.
• Locate meds, blister packs, vials, etc. from pharmacy supply area, count out, and package in correct system.
• Assist with order entry, documentation filing, rotating stock, and checking equipment for calibration and safety.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma
• Ability to complete an online $25 registration for the State Board of Pharmacy  (reimbursable if assignment completed)
• Ability to walk or stand for entire shift, as well as the ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.  
• Ability to follow dress code:  scrubs or business casual (khaki slacks and a collared shirt, tennis shoes okay)
• Ability to pass the client's drug screen and background check
• Ability to be flexible regarding schedule, as some overtime may be needed due to shipment deadlines.
• Ability to work rotating shifts:  Work 1^st shift (6am-2:30pm) one week, then 2^nd shift (2pm-10:30pm) the following week, and alternating from week to week.  Also work a 9:30am-7pm shift on Sat & Sun every other weekend.  Will likely receive a different weekday(s) off during weeks that involve weekend shifts.
