Assistant Merchandise Planner
Salary is Commensurate with Experience
Develop the seasonal merchandise plans by analyzing historical data and forecasting trends. Partner with the buying team to develop sales, gross margin, average stock, receipt and turn plans at the department, classification and vendor level. Will develop assortment plans ensuring that the correct merchandise is in the right stores at specific times throughout the year. Accountable for increasing sales and reducing inventory.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree with two to three years related experience is required. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel required. Excellent communication and strong organizational and analytical skills are necessary. Prior retail experience and knowledge of Merchandise Information Technology is preferred. Light travel required.
