Foster Care and Adoptions Communications Director– Full Time/Exempt
Position open immediately

Aspiranet is a nonprofit, human services agency, which provides foster care, adoption services, residential care, school-based and community-based services to youth and families in over 40 locations throughout California.

Position Summary –
The Foster Care and Adoption’s Communications Director is responsible for designing and implementing this division’s overall strategy for public relations, media relations and communications as it relates to the recruitment of foster and adoptive parents. The Foster Care and Adoption’s Communications Director oversees this division’s use of print and electronic publications, ongoing media relations activities, internal communications, and related marketing and public relations activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Creates, executes and measures the communication plan that supports marketing and communications strategies for foster and adoptive parent recruitment.
2) Develop, implement and manage branding and communication campaigns, strategies and tactics for this division.
3) Manage all internal and outbound marketing communications, including overall messaging, as well as design and implementation of collateral materials for the foster and adoptive parent recruitment activities.
4) Participate in a team-based environment, providing support for the foster and adoptive parent recruitment initiatives.
5) Oversee the centralized Recruiter call center inclusive of supervision of Lead Recruiter and assistance with the development and implementation of the center and on-going evaluation of its effectiveness.

Requirements Qualifications:
1) Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, business administration, English, public administration or related field;
2) 3-5 years of public relations and/or marketing experience; experience in nonprofit communications a plus;
3) Strong analytical and strategic abilities;
4) Experience overseeing design and production of marketing materials;
5) Detail-oriented, excellent follow through and project management skills;
6) Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and produce quality and accurate work.
7) Meets all state required conditions of employment as set forth by Community Care Licensing for a Licensed Community Care facility; i.e. Fingerprint and child Abuse Index clearance, TB/Health Physical, valid CDL and clean driving record.

Physical Activities
1. Must be able to handle or manipulate objects, tools, and operate controls.
2. Must be able to reach for stacked products, store and retrieve file boxes on high shelves.
3. Must be able to push, pull, lift and/or carry as much as 10 lbs.
4. Must have the ability and skill to drive a vehicle.
