Description
Part-Time Position / 12-15 hours per week / Flexible schedule
This position is responsible for the accounting of various organizations that the AAFP has Administrative Service Agreements with. Duties include processing receipts and disbursements, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and preparation of financial statements. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related area plus at least two years directly related experience. Solid accounting knowledge; strong aptitude for math including knowledge of Algebra and Statistics; a working knowledge of GAAP; and reconciliation/audit techniques needed. Customer service skills, confidentiality, and logical thinking necessary. Advanced computer skills in database, word processing and spreadsheet software needed. Current systems used are: Solomon IV, FRx Report Writer, Raiser’s Edge, Access, Lotus 123, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and GroupWise. Candidates must have attention to detail; capability to work under pressure and deadlines; ability to prioritize workflow and handle multiple tasks; and ability to work independently with minimal direction.
