Position Sumary
  • Fill perscriptions, dispense medicines, and provide information to patients and other health practitioners regarding the nature and use of medications.
  • To advise physicians and other health practioners on the selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects of medications.

Shift
*** MONDAY - FRIDAY, 8:30am - 5:00pm ***
Requirements

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy;
  • Experience cannon be substituted for educational requirements.

License(s) Required for Job
Licensed or eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in Mississippi and possession of a controlled substance license.

Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of drugs and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper administration.
  • Knowldge of policies and procedures pertaining to the disbursement of pharmaceutical drugs.
  • Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of constituencies.
