We’re seeking a Occupational Therapist Assistant for part-time & PRN to join us. Our facility offers unparalleled career opportunities and our rehab services include the most progressive approaches with impressive clinical outcomes.
AREA/FACILITY SPECIFICS:
Seneca Health & Rehab Center has 132 beds. We have an excellent rehabilitation department that consists of full-time occupational, physical, and speech therapists. We have speech therapy licensed to provide VitalStim therapy for patients with dysphagia. Our therapists are specialized in working with neurological patients, including dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
Other therapeutic specialties include splinting, gait training, community outings, developing functional communication and cognitive skills, as well as treating visual deficits. The gym is equipped with the latest and standing frame. We also have modalities through ACP, including a state of art diathermy, ultrasound, and e-stim machine. These devices assist in treating wounds, pain, and contractures.
The facility is conveniently located near Clemson University. Seneca and the surrounding area offers everything you need. Plenty of outdoor and indoor recreation is within a 30-minute drive.
If you’re looking for outdoor entertainment, Seneca borders the 900-plus-mile shoreline of Hartwell Lake where swimming, skiing and sailing are favorite pastimes. The mountains are less than an hour away and provide areas to canoe, kayak, white-water raft, hike, camp, snow ski and fish. Indoor recreation is a lot closer to home, and Seneca’s downtown provides many dining and shopping possibilities.
Requirements
Qualified OTA - Occupational Therapist Assistant candidates will possess:
- Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with lots of variety.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Licensure (or eligibility) in state of application
- A desire to work with geriatric patients in a skilled care environment. SNF experience a plus.
