Full Time Day & Night Shift Med/Tele RN

On our 4 East- Medical/Surgical Unit we have 31 beds with the capability of remote monitoring. Nurses on this floor may care for patients with diagnoses that include, but are not limited to the following: chest pain, abdominal pain, infectious processes: pneumonia, urinary tract infections and cellulitis, diabetes, renal disease, congestive heart failure (CHF) and minor surgeries. Typical equipment used on the unit includes IV pumps, Wound Vac Drainage System, Compression Device machines, Telemetry packs and Non-Invasive BP machines.

The nurse to patient ratio is 1:5 with assistance from patient care technicians. There is an Assistant Nurse Manager or Charge nurse available for each shift. The unit also has a trained Monitor Technician/ Health Unit Coordinator 24 hours/day to complete orders and answer phones for the nursing staff. The Florida Hospital East Orlando Med/Surg/Tele Nursing Units are comprised of a caring multidisciplinary team of nurses, physicians and support staff to meet the needs of their patients.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year current Med/-Tele experience required.
• Florida RN license or the ability to obtain Florida licensure.
• BLS Certification
