Description The Employee Relations Specialist position is designed to support human resources function by partnering with department leaders and team members to provide guidance and support with labor relations, employee relations and employee engagement opportunities.   This position will assist the human resources team by conducting preliminary interviews and gathering information as it relates to complaints, investigations, grievances, etc. This position will also be responsible for the administrative processes and functions of employee relations, unemployment compensation, team member events, grievance tracking, and other related duties in order to assist in reaching profitability, guest satisfaction, workforce strength and compliance goals. The Employee Relations role will provide encouragement, sets high expectations, and sets proud and positive examples necessary to ensure a fun, exciting and professional working environment for our staff and a pleasant and entertaining experience for our guests.
Requirements EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Two years experience in a labor/employee relations function is required including: conflict resolution, organizational skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills. An Associates degree with an HR or business emphasis required, Bachelor’s degree preferred or the equivalent of education and experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to coordinate multiple priorities simultaneously and the ability to set and meet aggressive deadlines. Previous experience in the administration of a collective bargaining agreement and the grievance process is preferred. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, a professional appearance and be a team player.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Intermediate computer knowledge; MS Office, HRIS- UltiPro experience preferred.
