Description

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a 2010 summer intern for our Accounting department located at our corporate headquarters in Kansas City, MO.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform reconciliation of general ledger accounts. Analyze accounts for reasonableness and accuracy.  When necessary, research and post correcting entries.
  • Calculate, analyze and post allocations to other divisions.  Provide customer service to other divisions regarding allocations.  Items included, but not limited are, general insurance, pension, interest, health and dental insurance, and telecommunications and Information Services allocations.
  • Assist in consolidation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist in the timely and accurately closing of the monthly accounting system.
  • Assist in the timely and accurately preparation of internal monthly financial statements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Requirements:

  • The qualified candidate will be a junior, senior in the fall of 2010, with degree focus in Accounting.
