Staff Pharmacist

Description

We are searching for Pharmacists who are eager to expand their careers and their profession. Kroger is changing the practice of pharmacy by creating a staffing model that integrates patient care with the traditional role of dispensing. We have obtained several contracts with third parties where our Pharmacists coach patients in different disease states and we need pharmacists to fill these roles, APhA sanctioned training will be provided. Requirements

All applicants are required to be licensed to practice pharmacy in Ohio (Kentucky or Indiana) and be in good standing with the Ohio (Kentucky or Indiana) State Board of Pharmacy. 

•  Processes the necessary interpersonal skills required to interact with patients, co-workers and other healthcare professionals.     
•  Receives verbal Rx orders and accurately reduces same to writing in adherence with State and Fedreal laws and regulations.
• Evaluate appropriateness of prescription orders with consideration for patient safety and legal requirements.
• Consults with prescribes as necessary.
• Maintains accurate records, properly receives Rx information from customer,

  properly and accurately delivers Rx to customers, assists with over the counter

  questions and selection.

• Demonstrates ability to accurately and efficiently utilize pharmacy computer system.
• Is both familiar with and compliant with all record keeping requirements for controlled substances.
