Part-Time Faculty - Massage Therapy Program

Our programs, led by dedicated faculty, are geared to help provide students with a solid groundwork in the knowledge and skills required to acquire employment in their chosen fields. 

• Teach courses as assigned by Department Chair up to the maximum number of contact/credit hours allowed by current accreditation
• In case of emergency, provide a qualified, prepared substitute who must be approved by your Department Chair prior to class
• Actively engage in retention activities including documented communication with both students and administration regarding attendance and progress
• Provide assistance for the planning, development and maintenance of program curriculum
• Work with the Department Chair to resolve student concerns
• Provide annual documentation of continuing professional growth
• Attend scheduled program meetings, SBI in-service workshops and college-wide faculty meetings
• Manage special projects as formally assigned by the Department Chair or Director of Education  (including, but not limited to, the organization and posting of student work for display; assistance with accreditation preparation)
• Adhere to and publicly support SBI policies and procedures, included but not limited to the employee handbook, faculty handbook, and catalog
• Attend annual graduation ceremony

• National Certification in Massage Therapy preferred, but not necessary
• 3+ years experience in Massage Therapy
