POSITION OPEN AS OF DECEMBER 1.
Major corporation, located near LAX, has a contract to hire position available for a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
Responsibilities:
The Black Belt delivers significant bottom line benefits to the organization through the use of process improvement principles using the Six Sigma (DMAIC), DFSS, Lean and other methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
§ Partners with business leaders in developing a portfolio of continuous improvement projects that are aligned with Business Unit goals and objectives.
§ Proactively leads high value improvement efforts in functional disciplines, and across business processes in support of business strategic and operational plans.
§ Serves as technical content expert and builds organizational sustainability of process improvement knowledge and strategies in the form of training in line with the broader Company program.
§ Discovers application opportunities for continuous improvement strategies and tools, both internal and external, (e.g., suppliers and customer).
§ Manage financial aspects of projects and project delivery, i.e. budgets, ROI
§ Educates and coaches Green Belts as change agents and in executing projects using Six Sigma methodology.
§ Maintain compliance to corporate industry governance standards i.e. Sarbanes-Oxley, etc
Requirements
§ 2-3 years experience as certified Black Belt with DMAIC, Lean, Business Process experience in a transactional Six Sigma environment, preferably financial services. DFSS experience highly desirable.
§ Proficiency with Six Sigma tools and methodologies acquired through formal training and/or direct work experience with a certified Master Black Belt.
§ Demonstrated analytical skill set
§ Process-oriented – experience in, or working with process mapping and process analysis
§ Strong knowledge in all aspects of project management including but not limited to requirements gathering, analysis, design, planning, testing, documentation and production implementation.
§ At least 4 years experience, including at least 2 years as a certified Black Belt or equivalent, leading multi-dimensional process improvement projects within transactional environment
§ Experience in training Six Sigma methodology encompassing Lean, DMAIC and DFSS
§ Strong demonstrated team leadership and relationship skills
§ Familiarity with audit, compliance and legal processes and requirements
§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal and influencing skills
§ Highly results oriented; ability to effect change in a matrix managed environment
