Description of Sr. Project Controls Analyst

 

This is a senior level position that requires the ability to develop estimates, schedules, progress reports, presenting reports as well as meeting with clients, interfacing schedules with other schedules, and analyzing critical paths for forecasting schedule status.

Candidate must be able to develop and implement:

  • Planning and scheduling services to complete engineering, procurement, and construction activities for one or more projects.
  • Project control processed and procedures on projects including progress and performance measurement.
  • Development of estimates, cash flows, productivity analysis, and construction indirect costs.
  • Develops integrated schedules, analyses logic, coordinates progress updates from multiple sources, develops WBS structures for large complex projects with multiple data source participation.
  • Individually should be able to maintain an awareness of current market conditions and lead times that could impact costs and schedules.

Requirements for Sr. Project Controls Analyst

 

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in power and increasingly more responsible experience in planning and scheduling. BA/BS degree in Engineering,
  • Construction Management, Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering/Managament or equivalent preferred. Field construction and engineering office experience a plus.
  • Must have knowledge and experience in primarily Primavera 6.0. MS Project a plus. Working knowledge of MS Excel is required for estimating quantities and costs as well as for project control activities such as progress and performance measurement.
  • Must be able to develop multi-discipline high level and detail project schedules.
  • Schedules will be developed for Engineering Procurement and or Construction projects.
  • Strong communication and written skills required.
