Pharmacy Manager Inpatient Clinical & Operational

Pharmacy Manager – Portland, OR---  Very progressive hospital seeking an experienced Pharmacist currently in a Leadership Role with Supervisory experience.   

This position is Operational and Clinical…if you are looking to have more global management opportunity within the hospital…this position will offer that.

Pharmacy Manager:  Salary goes up to $132,000 based upon Experience.

Sign-On Bonus.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee Pharmacy Staff on a daily basis
• Serves as a liaison to Nursing and the Medical Staff and works directly with these groups to meet the needs of the department and the hospital. Manager must have strong clinical knowledge so that they may attend to the questions/concerns of the Physicians and Nursing.
• Quality Improvement on multiple projects
• Develop/Create projects as needed
• Work with the IT Pharmacist as we convert to CPOE; multidisciplinary team involvement
• Looking at medications errors is shared responsibility with the Director
• Continue our growth even more as the pharmacy department is an integral part of the hospital...department is highly respected by nursing and physicians.
• Responding to the needs in the operational aspect of the pharmacy as well as the clinical aspect
• Global management opportunities/meetings/committees within the hospital
• Represent the pharmacy at the manager level; there is a manager on each floor of the hospital.
• This manager will not be scheduled as a working pharmacist…this will allow them time to be in the pharmacy space to keep up-to-date on the pharmacists needs/activities/etc.
• Hospital has abilities to run as many clinical initiatives that you could hope for…if you have a great idea you can run with it.
• Formulate/Implement the Operational Goals of the Pharmacy Department

Current Pharmacist license in the State of Oregon  

Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with team members required.
