Responsibilities - Senior Accountant:

Sr Accountant - Inventory Accounting will serve as the lead accounting manager for Mobility Inventory Accounting. The position will be responsible for the following:

  • Month-end close performance and internal reporting.
  • Accounting & reporting monitoring.
  • Blackline reporting & administration.
  • Management of 3-4 Senior Accountants.
  • Business application access ownership.
  • Other ad hoc projects.

Month-End Close Performance & Reporting:

  • Review accounting team entries.
  • Prepare & improve supporting schedules for CFO Reporting Package.
  • Monitor reasonableness of variance analysis explanations.
  • Subject Matter Expert for equipment margin allocation activity.

Accounting & Reporting Monitoring:

  • Establish & communicate team deadlines.
  • Maintain reconciliations, journal entry and variance analysis quality standards.
  • Adjust & coach team documentation standards to accommodate changing internal customer needs.

Blackline Reconciliation Reporting & Administration:

  • Inventory Accounting Subject Matter Expert for reconciliation reporting & administration.
  • Coordinate monthly internal balance sheet reporting for Controller meeting.
  • Primary reconciliation contact within Inventory Accounting.
  • Monitor reconciliation completion timeliness and perform standard reconciliation reporting.

Manage 3-4 Senior Accountants:

  • Coach team members in understanding of GAAP.
  • Guide team members to independent issue/process resolution.
  • Coach tool usage for team efficiency.
  • Coordinate monthly coaching sessions for specific accounting/operational topics.

Other Ad Hoc responsibilities:

  • Business Application Owner for specific Oracle modules and/or roles.
  • Manage on-boarding of a contract review procedure.
  • Report financial and operational metrics.
  • Manage internal & external audit requests.

Requirements
Senior Accountant
Requirements - Senior Accountant:

  • Required Degrees/Majors/Accreditations/Skills:Accounting and project management experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Intermediate Excel and Access skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Experience implementing policies and procedures.
  • Experience with accounting systems.
  • Experience in personnel management.
  • Desired Degrees/Majors/Accreditations/Skills:Certified Public Accountant (preferred).
