Home Care Clinical Manager-RN

The Clinical Manager coordinates the clinical activities of the office.  Accountable for implementing, supervising and evaluating patient care services to ensure quality home health care to patients and their families according to agency mission, philosophy, and all regulatory standards.  
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:  knowledgeable of all aspects of medical-surgical nursing, pathology, pharmacology, treatment modalities, and diagnosis related to ICD-9 codes.  Knowledgeable about Medicare, JCAHO and local and state regulatory standards, and takes reasonable steps to ensure that they are enforced with in the agency.   Participates in staff development and orientation of new employees, as well as interviewing potential staff for employment.  Conducts regular staff meetings to communicate management decisions, and to elicit feedback from staff to present to management.  Prepares weekly statistical data related to office activity (i.e. number of referrals, census, non-admits, complaints, admissions, skilled visits, and discharges) and submits to Administrator.  Works with agency leadership in preparation for accreditation and certification surveys.  Maintains competency by attending inservice programs, workshops, reading current journals, and keeping current on local, state and federal regulations as pertain to home health.
