Associate Director of Clinical Operations

For over 25 years, Novum Pharmaceutical Research Services has been a world leader in the conduct of clinical trials and equivalency studies for the generic, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries.

Position Summary:
Responsible for the day-to-day management of a 24 hour/day, seven day a week, Phase I Clinical Trials facility.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provides direction, leadership & management to the Clinic Operations Management team.
• Serves as a mentor to each of the managers. Encourages managers to train and develop their staff. This will be accomplished through adequate and documented training, proper follow through on performance issues and providing additional support as required.
• Works with managers to ensure adequate staff levels are maintained to meet company goals.
• Reviews operational costs with each department manager and holds them accountable to budgetary requirements (e.g., overtime, supply costs).
• Conducts regular audits of each department to ensure Novum SOP’s, protocols and other regulatory requirements are being met.
• Oversee management of the Clinic, Screening & Recruiting department. 

• A Bachelor's degree, preferably in a scientific/medical background and a minimum of 5 years managerial experience in a clinical trials managment environment. 
• Available to support a 24/7 Operation.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications
