Description
We are seeking an HR generalist/administrator to support the HR Department and its activities. We offer excellent benefits and seek an enthusiastic, motivated individual to fill this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned.
· Responsible for tasks related to recruiting and staffing such as posting open positions; screening applications and resumes for qualifications; routing applications and resumes to hiring department. Maintaining and updating recruitment websites.
· Coordinate and direct pre-employment processes between the candidate and Company related to selection assessments; alcohol and drug testing; criminal background checks, credit checks, and reference checks.
· Handles the necessary administration related to all offer letters from new hire offer letters to promotional offer letters inclusive of preparation of data such as the internal equity analysis.
· Conducts new hire orientation. Ensures new employees have complete pre-employment packages and return required paperwork that is completed correctly and in entirety. Audits paperwork for accuracy.
· Maintains employee personnel files in line with company policies and government regulations. Retains records in line with company record retention requirements. Considerable filing, faxing, coping, distribution of materials, etc.
· Compiles data from various areas to prepare reports related to HR initiatives.
· Interacts with various levels of management, employees, and employee dependents. Answers incoming telephone calls/written inquiries from inside and outside the Company on employment verifications, and job openings.
· Answers general company policy questions, assists in solving general problems. May assist in investigational interviews of employee complaints in absence of or in coordination with the HR Director.
· Assists with the coordination of special projects and events, performance appraisals, training, etc.
· Oversees/records/tracks/compiles/consults on and performs data entry of various information which includes personal data, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, termination data, etc.
· Handles highly confidential information in a professional manner, ensures employee privacy is respected and that company confidentially regarding information is not breached.
· Other duties as assigned by the Director Human Resources.
Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor's degree, 3-5 years of hands-on HR experience with a working knowledge of basic HR law and legal practices.
