Description

Sales Manager

Responsible for providing pre- and post- sales technical expertise to company clients, the company sales organization and company partner firms. The Sales Engineer will play an integral role in our organization, working with a small team to develop customized solutions to the complex, mission-critical challenges faced by companys blue chip customers and prospects. Responsible for identifying customer product and business requirements, developing sales strategy and providing sales & product training. Report to the VP of Sales. Travel requirements are light to moderate. Collaborate with both engineering staff and manufacturing staff to create viable sales solutions for customers. Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements. Support review and analysis of purchase order detail requirements. Confer with customers and company engineers to assess ability to meet customer business requirements. Secure and renew orders and arrange delivery timetable. Sell products requiring extensive technical expertise and business judgment for aerospace, transportation and other applications. Prepare and deliver proposals that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers. Support cost data collection per Federal Acquisition Requirements. Support updates of companys on-line website, catalog and customer survey. Support companys on-line and print advertising marketing campaigns. Support updates of company product specifications and test data supplied to customers. Support updates of companys price lists and monthly sales reports. BS in Engineering is required. MBA is desirable. Significant experience in industrial sales and marketing is required. 2 - 5 years minimum engineering experience in transformers, power supplies or magnetics is preferred with both analog and digital design experience. Experience in the defense or aerospace industry is preferred. A demonstrated record of accomplishment, detail orientation and organizational skills. A proven ability to grasp complex technical issues and clearly and simply translate them into non-technical solutions that address and solve the underlying business need. Strong professional appearance and interpersonal skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Must be a team player-collaborating with customer representatives as well as in-house staff. Must be internet and business computer applications savvy (MS Office, Access, Visual). Most importantly, a passion to learn our products and markets.

 

Sales/Marketing Manager

Provides marketing support to the corporation. Maintains customer records and contacts to coordinate commitments. Works under general supervision within established guidelines. Responsible for various marketing research and analysis such as: customer analysis, company analysis, collaborator analysis, competitive analysis, and industry analysis. Develops an overall corporate marketing strategy as well as assist with the implementation of that strategy. Assists sales personnel in the preparation of sales forecasts and programs, bids/proposals. Represents company at trade shows as well as deliver marketing presentations. Maintains customer files and records.

Minimum 10 years directly related technical and/or marketing/sales experience . BSEE or equivalent.

In Addition, we are in need of a Sales Representative for a small Long Island Manufacturer of Electro-Mechanical Components.

 

Provides administrative support to the sales and marketing functions. Maintains customer records and contacts to coordinate commitments. Works under supervision within established parameters. May quote prices and process orders for products. Assists outside sales personnel in the preparation of sales forecasts and programs, bid/proposals. Provides liaison between customers and various departments in the company.

Will provide technical support and act as the customer point of contact for delivery, shipping, and repairs. 25-35% travel required. Two to three years in (microwave) component or systems Education: BSEE, BSE or BSET required.
