Description
Perrigo is the world's largest manufacturer of over-the-counter pharmaceutical and nutritional products for the store brand and contract manufacturing markets and an emerging developer, manufacturer and marketer of prescription generic drugs.
Reporting to an Analytical R&D Senior Principal Scientist, this position will provide analytical support for both solid dosage and liquid product development, specifically for the evaluation and characterization of active pharmaceutical ingredients and critical excipients. Additionally, this position will be expected to contribute to key elements such as developing, validating, and transferring new analytical methods, evaluating and determining key quality attributes of formulation components, and delivering formal analytical documentation. This position is expected to have a solid (hands-on and theoretical) understanding of all analytical instrumentation commonly found in pharmaceutical laboratories, including HPLC and GC. Experience in material characterization techniques such as Particle Size Analysis, DSC, and XRD is helpful. The successful candidate will actively communicate with Technical Operations, Procurement, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Material Review Project Managers, and StageGate Project Managers by representing Analytical R&D on project teams.
