Electrical Electronic Engineer - Controls Engineer

A worldwide leader in the automotive fuel industry is searching for an Electrical Controls engineer to design and troubleshoot R&D testing equipment.   This is a progressive company and a great place to work in the Richmond, Virginia area.

Responsibilities:
- Design and troubleshoot the hardware control circuitry that includes PLC's, digital and analog control loops,  relay logic, electric DC motors, etc.
- Integrate sensors in the design such as thermocouples, stress sensors, etc.
- Limited software development is required, although expertise in this area is a definite plus

Requirements

Requirements:
- Four year degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Strong knowledge of PLC system design including closed loop control systems
- Strong knowledge of sensors
- Strong knowledge of DC motor drive systems, especially DC
- Familiarity with electrical noise issues
- At least five years experience
- PLC programming expertise a plus
