Position Summary:

Supports the development of Seibel applications and assists in the management of Information Technology systems or services.  Assists business unit implementation of such software, systems and services.

 

The Seibel Specialist –  Developer is responsible for enhancements and changes to configuration and code.  This person works in tandem with the Business Analyst/Functional Design Document to write Technical Design Documents, and develop and implement required changes to the application.

 

Supervision

Works with Division staff and other Corporate I/T staff under the direction and guidance of Enterprise management.  Provides expert direction to project leaders and technical analysts.  Maintains operational relationships with vendors and other corporate locations.

 

Essential Functions

·         Implements and maintains I/T systems and services with complex technical specifications.

·         Maintains these systems and services to be efficient and effective.

·         Creates standards for I/T systems and services to provide flexibility and maintainability.

·         Provides resolution of critical situation technical problems.

·         Provides information used to promote the understanding and benefit of technology systems.

·         Identifies deficiencies in I/T systems and recommends solutions/improvements.

·         Assist and train Technical Analysts to support I/T systems.

·         Provides information to management identifying personnel, hardware and software needs to provide appropriate levels of systems and services within the corporation.

 

Key Responsibilities

·         Create and support Siebel workflows, eScript & Business Services

·         Apply Siebel EAI and EIM integration tools to support defined system requirements

·         Configure, enhance, develop, and support Siebel applications

·         Creates Technical Design documents based on Functional Design Documentation.

·         Updates configuration and code as detailed in the Technical Design Document.

·         Analyzes and fixes bugs reported during system/regression and user acceptance testing.

·         Updates build notes as defined by the Siebel Administrator.

·         Creates and executes database queries to support Data and Business Analyst’s work.

·         On-call 24x7 as needed to analyze and perform break-fix tasks.

·         Conducts cross training on specific application modules needed by other resources.

·         Trains and mentors junior Siebel developers.

·         When necessary serves as backup to Siebel Administrator.

 

 


Requirements

Qualifications

·         4 year University / College Degree (or significant technical certifications and experience)

·         Six or more years experience in Information Technology related endeavors

·         Requires the ability to effectively communicate technical issues to technical staff
