Under the direction of the Vice President, directs, establishes, and plans the overall policies and goals for the hospital's pharmacy services to ensure the safe use of medications and support hospital wide strategic objectives.  Directs and coordinates all pharmacy activities, including the purchase, receipt, storage, compounding, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals. As necessary, assists in dispensing medication, and oversees the maintenance of inventory, records, files, and references.  Consults with and advises medical staff regarding drugs and pharmaceuticals.

Requirements
  • Current Licensure in State of California
  • Doctor of Pharmacy Degree preferred

 

Education/Experience:

 

  • Must be a registered pharmacist in State of California
  • A minimum of five years experience as an acute care clinical pharmacist including at least three years of progressive management experience required.
  • A minimum of two years experience at a Director level or above preferred.
