Description of Manager, Statistical Analysts:

Purpose of this position:

The Statistics team is responsible for meeting both internal and external data reporting needs with high quality and in a timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. The percentage specified for each essential duty and responsibility is an indicator of the approximate amount of time spent on that particular duty and/or responsibility. It is not however, and indicator of the importance of the duty. The importance of each duty and/or responsibility may change daily dependent upon related circumstances.

• Develop custom and standard reports to meet internal and external management needs (40%)

   

  1. Gain clear understanding of report requirements and delivery schedule
  2. Provide “test" for reports prior to delivery due date
  3. Focus on automating all reports that meet automation criteria
  4. Utilize latest available technology to deliver needed data

   

• Ensure each report has accurate data and is delivered within desired timeframes (40%)

   

  1. Understand expectations for each report
  2. Conduct review of completed reports prior to delivery to ensure quality
  3. Share reports with management to gain inputs on manual data
  4. Set team goals to ensure reports are quality checked and delivered by client duedate/time

   

• Provide coaching and direction to Statistics Analyst staff (10%)

   

  1. Conduct regular meetings with team members to share feedback
  2. Develop goals for each team member
  3. Ensure each team member is aware of responsibilities and equipped to be successful at role
  4. Create a team environment of trust and result oriented outcomes

   

• Demonstrate innovative leadership (10%)
  
  
  1. Challenge the current process always looking for ways to improve team performance
  2. Maintain knowledge of best practices to ensure current technology is best utilized
  3. Develop solutions for daily and recurring challenges that challenge the team while meeting company objectives 

   

• Supervisory Responsibilities

   

  • Manage performance of team

     

    1. Coaching
    2. Goal setting
    3. Complete performance evaluations
  • Complete team productivity reports – scorecard
  • Participate in meetings on behalf of team

Requirements of Manager, Statistical Analysts:

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelors degree and/or three years experience in relevant field or position.

Language Skills

• Role requires strong verbal and written communication skills. 

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to reason percentages, calculations, equations, and intermediate math concepts. 

Reasoning Ability

• Position requires the ability to understand technical documentation and participate in technical discussions.

• Lifting between zero and twenty pounds rarely
• Periods of high stress
