Senior Information Architect

Position Objective

A member of the User Experience Design Studio, UXDS, the Senior Information Architect is responsible for the language, organization, and relationships of the concepts, entities, attributes, and symbols for leading digital marketing software products and platforms.  You will work with other UX/UI professionals including Usability/Human Factors, Visual Design, and Interaction Design.  We look for people who are passionate about what they do, and crave working with other smart people to solve the toughest design challenges.

This position reports to the UXDS Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop application and platform taxonomies and controlled vocabulary
• Enforce the proper use of language and symbolic labels in the User Experience Model
• Apply process, methods, techniques, and schema that improve information access, usability, and comprehension
• Present and evangelize core concepts and related language across the organization
• Create, manage, and control IA artifacts such as content models, inventories, maps, diagrams, and schema
• Work collaboratively with other UXDS team members
• Work collaboratively with Product Manager, Documentation, Development, and QA
• Interact with Enablement, Services, Support, Marketing, and Sales
• Engage in written and verbal IA presentations internally and externally

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IA-related field with an emphasis on IA or ID – Information Architecture, Information Design, Taxonomy, Library Sciences, Communications, etc.
• 8+ years experience in IA
• 5+ years experience in an ISV
• Office applications Proficiency
• Information Modeling Tools
• Technical acumen with web technologies – HTML, CSS, etc
• Software as a Service IA work in portfolio a plus
• Experience in mobile applications a plus
