Our growing technology company is searching for an Accounting Manager/Controller.  This is a new position that requires a high-energy individual, someone who is looking to join a small company and create the accounting and finance operations from the ground-up.   The position will have full responsibility for all accounting operations within the company, including A/P, A/R, GL, billing, collections, bank reconciliations, month-end closing, cash flow management, regular financial reporting, and coordination of year-end audit and tax work with outside CPA firm. The position will offer the chance to work with very entrepreneurial professionals in a dynamic work environment.

A qualified applicant must possess the high-level vision of how to create a comprehensive accounting operation, as well as the hands-on ability to execute the day-to-day activities of the accounting department.  This position reports to the CFO.

• BA/BS in Accounting required
• 7+ years of hands-on generalist accounting experience, preferably running the accounting operations of a small company
• Must possess ability to communicate with all levels of personnel, including senior management and non-financial staff   
• Strong problem solving/analytical skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and  ability to work independently
• Experience building and monitoring financial forecasts and operating plans
• Strong technical GAAP accounting skills and proven leadership skills
• Quickbooks and billing system experience preferred
• Both public and private experience preferred, large and small company experience also preferred  
• Experience implementing an accounting or ERP software package preferred
