Description
 Staffmark is seeking a shift supervisor with a minimum of 3 years of management experience in the food manufacturing industry.  This is a full-time, permanent position with a large, local company who is a renowned leader in the food manufacturing industry.  The ideal candidate will have the capability to work a flexible schedule on 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift as needed.

Job Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Possess the ability to set up an efficient, productive team in order to accomplish the set goals using the budgeted number of personnel
  • Supervise ALL team members and group leaders on shift.
  • Required to directly supervise between 10 and 50 hourly employees on their shift and indirectly on the other two shifts in the absence of another shift manager.
  • Oversee all QA functions for specified shift.
  • Approve time for all hourly employees on the shift and make corrections as necessary.
  • Ensure all safety, QA, and GMPs rules and regulations are followed by all team members.
  • Capable of making timely and knowledgeable decisions as needed when operation and/or employee issues arise.
  • Work 80% of the time within the production area.
  • Document and communicate all problems/situations to necessary parties.
  • Must balance all production made during that shift to macola and investigate issues.
  • Coach and facilitate all team members to help them operate safely and productively.
  • Ensure all team members are trained on the necessary topics to be in compliance with OSHA, SOP, and the company policies (GMPs).
  • Accumulate the necessary paperwork containing the correct date, input to computer as necessary, or transmit to appropriate personnel.
  • record all training, problems, accidents, and etc, in a timely manner.
  • Double check to make certain all paperwork is correct and turned in as specified.
  • Must maintain all QA documentation, including but not limited to, remaining up to date on all forms.
  • Ensure all paperwork is complete, correct and up to date to ensure easy to access for trace recall.

Good organizational and communication skills are necessary.  Need to be people oriented with good interpersonal relation skills.
