Manager, 2 East (Medical/Surgical Unit) / Registered Nurse
Ideal candidate has BSN, current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland or compact state, and has current BLS certification.
SUMMARY: The Manager has twenty-four hours responsibility for management of the Medical/Surgical Unit such that the delivery of high quality patient care is assured and designated budgetary parameters are maintained.
* Manages and integrates functions to support Civista Medical Centers goals and priorities
* Builds effective working relationships among staff
* Provides effective leadership for Medical/Surgical Unit
* Continually assesses and improves patient care and services
* Fosters quality management
* Manages organizational resources with fiscal responsibility
* Promotes operational efficiency & effectiveness
* Ensures compliance to regulatory regulations in accordance with Joint Commission and State standards.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the position, the candidate must have three years of clinical nursing experience. Prior leadership/managerial experience preferred. Service Lines/Areas: Medical/Surgical.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
* Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and implement effective strategies to enhance the financial performance of the department and the organization.
* The ability to ensure the confidentiality and rights of all patient and departmental documents is required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required, BSN required. Currently licensed as RN in state of Maryland. Current CPR certification. Specialty certification preferred.
