Position Summary

Pennsylvania MENTOR's Harrisburg office is seeking a Children's Clinical Coordinator - a master's level professional to provide case management and individual & family therapy to children in our programs surrounding the Harrisburg area.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly therapy and supportive services to the children and their foster families as required
  • Carry a caseload of 12-15 clients, providing case management as well as crisis intervention with Mentor families
  • Develop and revise the comprehensive treatment plans and behavior management interventions
  • Participate in monthly medication management visits with internal psychiatrists
  • Provide education and skill training to the foster families
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the natural family and other outside agencies
  • Ensure all documentation is complete and updated for funding authorizations and as required by county contractual agreements, state regulations, and MCO guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with the Intake department to match potential clients with Mentor homes
  • Requires on-call responsibility for the children in the Mentor homes
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in social work, psychology, or related human services field
  • Minimum two years' experience providing counseling/therapy to children and/or adolescents
  • Experience in foster care and family therapy is preferred, as is familiarity with case management techniques
  • Must possess positive communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to respond appropriately to crisis situations 
  • The successful candidate will also have an understanding of child welfare and mental health systems, good organization, time management, and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule - some weekday evening hours (up to 8:00pm) may be required to accommodate the scheduling needs of clients and families
