Position Description: Overall responsibility for leadership, direction and oversight of all aspects necessary to develop, plan, schedule, and execute refueling, planned and forced outages consistent with plant and fleet policy and regulatory requirements.

Effectively support, lead and implement fleet and/or site work management programs, procedures, and policies at a plant site safely and efficiently.

Maintain safe plant operations through risk management in conduct of outages while meeting department, site and fleet goals. Develop outage performance indicators and other tools to maintain management awareness of outage preparations and implementation status. Supervise daily activities of department employees. Coordinate department activities with plant and fleet departments. Establish and enforce expectations related to safety, procedure compliance, corrective action and appropriate work behaviors. Create and maintain department budget and direct activities to correct variances. Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Responsible for supporting and monitoring daily employee activities, employee training, performance, recognition and discipline. Makes decisions on routine supervisory issues, keeps management informed of plant issues, organizes plans, controls and executes goals and objectives as directed by management. Maintains program compliance with plant, fleet and industry requirements.

Requirements

Position Required: Ten years of nuclear plant experience in Maintenance, I&C, Operations or Engineering. Five years of supervisory experience in Operations, Maintenance or Engineering. Demonstrated strong leadership, communication and problem solving skills and ability to facilitate teamwork especially in cross functional teams.

 

Comments:  Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related technical field and/or equivalent experience preferred. Prior SRO experience preferred.
