Description

 

The software developer is responsible for producing state of the art software solutions used to enhance our capabilities in a healthcare setting.  The potential candidate will work well within a team environment and be able to collaborate across multiple departments.  It is expected that the software developer will have strong verbal and written communication skills and be focused on the completion of targeted tasks by scheduled due dates.

  

Position Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Design, develop and implement software components using a variety of tools, primarily ASP and Visual Basic
  • Develop functionality for new and existing web-based applications
  • Maintain and improve existing components
  • Participate in testing, debugging & deployment
Requirements
 

Requirements: 

  • BS Degree in technology, business or related curriculum
  • 5+ years experience with ASP and Visual Basic COM+ development
  • Hands on experience with current Internet standards and web markup or scripting languages such as HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, VBScript, ASP, ASPX
  • Transact SQL skills and SQL Server database design understanding
  • Must be able to work in a time-critical environment
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Work well independently and within a team environment

 

Preferences:

  • Electronic Medical Records/Practice Management or healthcare related background
  • .NET experience a plus
