Description
GEAR for Sports, a leading designer of quality custom active wear for over 35 years, has an immediate opening for a Credit Services Supervisor.
Summary: This position supervises the Credit Returns Group; works closely with other supervisors in manufacturing, SI, and production to identify charges on returned and/or discounted merchandise. Must resolve issues with customers. Continuously reviews and looks at ways to improve communication and systems to reduce and in some cases eliminate returns for Gear and Champion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Supervises Credit Returns Specialists and Clerk
Ensures timely response to customers, through email and phone —both internal and external—are upheld
Communicates to upper management, sales, production, SI and manufacturing to report returns and discount charge-backs and determine where problem was created in order to make sure problem does not occur again
Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develops ways to continually improve process flow and follow-up on RMA's (both open and in progress)
Process Pack-and-Holds, order re-works, and adjusting inventory accordingly within the Oracle system when contacted by Sales Rep or Customer with issues
Process corporate returns through the Oracle system for the Corporate Sales division when communication is received from Sales Management regarding Sales Reps returning samples.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises five employees in the Credit Services Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university is preferred. Supervisory experience in a credit or returns environment and customer service skills or two years of experience working at GEAR for Sports with knowledge of the returns process.
Computer Skills:
In order to perform this job successfully a working knowledge of Word and Excel is required and knowledge of Oracle is preferred.
