Informatics Pharmacist, Hematology/Oncology
The Ohio State University Medical Center is currently seeking a highly motivated pharmacist to implement, support and maintain clinical applications. Services include, but are not limited to, evaluation, design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computerized pharmacy information, and serves as liaison to the Medical Center Information Technology Department. The position involves ongoing support for inpatient and ambulatory electronic medical record solutions. A primary focus of this position will be working in multidisciplinary teams to develop and maintain functions for managing chemotherapy regimens. The pharmacist will focus on the use of clinical applications for promoting patient safety, improving patient outcomes, and improving clinical workflow. The Informatics Pharmacist needs to be knowledgeable in various aspects of information systems terminology, information system processing, and desktop solutions. Additionally, the Pharmacist should have training or experience in a hematology/oncology practice setting. The position requires keeping abreast of current developments and issues in the practice of pharmacy and field of hematology/oncology pharmacy. Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy (BS or PharmD Degree), eligible for licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Ohio, and knowledgeable about microcomputer hardware and software, databases, and clinical applications. Knowledgeable about health care and pharmacy practice within an integrated health-system. Experience in hematology/oncology practice setting is preferred. Additional degrees, pharmacy technology systems experience, and/or residency training preferred, but not required.
