Requirements
·Key contact, regarding Quality issues, with government regulatory organizations (USDA, FDA, as well as, state and local agencies)
·Maintains good working relationships with government regulatory organizations (USDA, FDA, as well as, state and local agencies)
·Monitors press releases and news items that impact the products sold at stores
·Assists recall team in recalls when required due to situations stemming from Guest complaints, press releases, news articles, and vendor requests
·Communicate clearly with all areas of the organization when investigating potential product recall situations and make effective decisions in the area of Food Safety and Quality which may impact the products sold at the stores
·Reviews Guest Supermarket concerns, the trends and complaints that may require product recalls
·Maintains information on current food health issues (microbiologic, allergic, etc.) and works on developing any Food Safety information that may need to be communicated to Team Members and customers
·Actively promote the benefits and safety of the products that are sold at the stores
Qualified candidates will have the following:
· Knowledge of Food Safety and Regulations.
· Good problem solving skills with the ability to work well under pressure
· Knowledge of product standards, retail business, and Guest.
· Strong sense of product.
