Description
A industry leading, national manufacturer is looking to add an outstanding performer to it operations team in the role of Assistant Buyer.

Responsibilities include:

Inputting Purchase Orders into company and customers’ purchase order systems.
Confirming orders and delivery information with suppliers.
Verifying receipt of goods; matching Packing Lists to Purchase Orders and updating purchase order systems.
Tracking Supplier Performance, inclucing Quality, On-Time and Complete Delivery information.
Communicating with suppliers to resolve nonconforming product issues.

Requirements
The oustanding candidate will have a demonstrable record of academic success and strong performance with previous employers.

At a minimum, the outstanding candidate will have 3 years of buying / purchasing experience, including vendor communications, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

He / She must also be able to demonstrate strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
