Description
Full-time Health Information Technology Project Manager at non-profit health support organization. Responsible for the development and implementation of multi-clinic network project, as well as other health information technology projects. Position will require manager to:
· Assess health information technology system and staffing needs and plan responses to them.
· Manage consultants and vendors.
· Coordinate project meetings, notes, and materials.
· Assist community health centers, individually and as a network, with site assessments, implementation and training.
· Work closely with each community health center project implementation team to ensure work goals and timelines are being met.
· Serve as a liaison between the community health centers and shared network resources .
· Keep abreast of developments in health information technology activities appropriate to community health centers needs and make recommendations to network for adoption..
· Collect and integrate periodic clinician, community health center staff, and patient feedback into project evaluation.
· Assist in EHR report writing, end-user training and technical assistance.
· Ensure federal reporting requirements are met.
· Collaborate with other staff and projects that support various aspects of information technology at community health centers and Hawaii Primary Care Association.
Requirements
Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher in business, technology, public health or related degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of healthcare and project management experience. In addition, applicant must have:
· Aptitude for and familiarity with electronic health records and similar technology.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to synthesize and explain health information technology concepts to and get appropriate feedback from individuals who have little or no knowledge of or, in some cases, aptitude for technology. Such individuals may include community health center staff, Hawaii Primary Care Association staff, and other partners with varying backgrounds.
· Ability to effectively manage or work with multi-ethnic, and educationally diverse people.
· Ability to attend to details of recordkeeping and data collection.
· Ability to plan, prioritize, and carry out complex tasks with little supervision.
· Ability to use partner feedback to creatively and effectively improve the project.
· Ability to organize and report on meetings, workshops, and similar events.
· Possession of a valid Hawai‘i driver’s license and access to a licensed and insured vehicle.
· Supervisory experience.
