We are currently seeking a Traffic Engineer for our Jacksonville, FL office. This position is responsible for traffic impact analysis, capacity analysis, operational analysis, traffic simulation modeling, access analysis/design and crash /safety studies.

• Accredited Bachelor or Master of Engineering degree or other professionally recognized equivalent discipline
• Five plus years of experience within the field of traffic engineering
• Professional registration (PE) within the field of engineering. Florida registration is required, or the ability to obtain within six months of employment
• Experience in the performance of tasks associated with traffic engineering and transportation planning projects, serving in a professional role advising clients and staff, consulting and review of work as an expert in the field of traffic engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Writing sample required.
• Ability to work independently with general supervision
• Experience with traffic analysis, transportation modeling and simulation programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• PTOE certification
• Extensive experience with micro-simulation software programs CORSIM, VISSIM and Simtraffic
• Experience with HCS, SYNCRO and TRANSYT 7-F, SIDRA
• Experience with Travel Demand software
