Description Our client is seeking an administrative assistant for the Corporate Accounting Group.  This department is made up of over 40 people.  A typical day will be spent prioritizing duties for this group.   This will be a temporary to hire position.

 
Job Purpose:
Provides office services by implementing administrative systems, procedures, and policies, and monitoring administrative projects to the managers and directors in the General Accounting Services Section of the Accounting Department.

Experience with review of the 10-K or 10-Q will be helpful.

* Maintains workflow by studying methods; implementing cost reductions; and developing reporting procedures.

* Sort and distribute monthly journal vouchers

* Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, recordkeeping systems, forms control, office layout, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing changes.

* Copy documentation for Excel Loader Journal vouchers.

* Develops administrative staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.

* Assist group during interim and annual audits by copying, distributing and maintaining information requested by auditors.

* Resolves administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions.

* Provides information by answering questions and requests.

* Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.

* Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning administrative projects; expediting work results.

Requirements Word and Excel skills are a must.
