Description

UC Physicians Inc. – Department of Surgery, is seeking an Abstractor for their Patient Accounting Division.

Duties will include;

Coding and entry of all CPT and ICD-9 for surgical cases and inpatient E&M
Coding for surgery sheets for use in pre-certification
Communicating with individual physicians, managers and their assigned division regarding billing issues
Keeping up to date with the latest information in coding by attending seminars, meetings and sharing information gathered with fellow co-workers

Requirements

Qualified candidates must possess 3-5 years medical billing experience or education equivalent
CPC/CCS-P or equivalent
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
