PRIMARY THERAPIST II – Inpatient Psych - Virginia
Are you an Arizona state licensed therapist as either an LPC, LMSW or LMFT or a post-doctoral trainee looking for an opportunity? Do you have at least two years experience doing individual, group and family therapy with chemical dependency, trauma and/or AXIS II diagnoses? The Remuda Ranch Programs offers an eastern location in Milford, Virginia as one of several programs of which we have a legacy of success now after a history of 19 years dedicated to helping women recover from eating disorders in an environment that is Christ-centered and biblically-based in it’s delivery of scientifically valid approaches to recovery. We are a growing company that has in these most recent years added distinct programs as well for boys with eating disorders and now also an anxiety disorder program for women.
Position Summary: Provide individual, group, and family therapy for patients from a biblically-based and scientifically-valid treatment approach.. Effectively documents patient contact in the Medical Record. Develops and updates Care Plan. Provides on-call coverage. Provides training to Primary Therapist I and is involved in program development as assigned.
Job Requirements:
1. State Independent Licensure required or postdoctoral trainee status
2. Minimum of Master's Degree in Behavioral Sciences required.
3. Two years of post Master’s experience in facilitating individual group and family therapy with an adult/adolescent/child population.
4. Prefer experience in treating chemical dependency, trauma, and AXIS II diagnostic criteria.
5. Prefer a minimum of one year's experience in eating disorders or in an intensive inpatient setting encompassing experience in individual, group and family therapy.
6. Obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid and Therapeutic Safety Continuum (TSC) Certification.
